I am looking forward to doing digital drawings and paintings, but it seems so strange to me that you can sell prints of digital works. When you paint something on canvas or paper it's tangible- it is possible to sell the original- and prints are used so that those who may not have access to purchasing the original don't necessarily have to go home empty handed...but with digital art there is no tangible material original out there. A right-click and you 'own' just as much as anyone else (copyrights aside), and why buy prints when you could just hit 'print' and be done with it? I like the idea of doing digital work, and possibly selling digital work, but I keep questioning it- like "Is that really possible? I won't get in trouble for selling air?"

What are you influenced by when it comes to mechanics? Do you just fly by the seat of your pants, or do you find inspiration for mechanical parts in something else?
